Hi! My name is Sonya. I grew up in Surrey and completed by undergraduate degree with a Major in Linguistics, Minor in Psychology and earned a Certificate in Speech Sciences at Simon Fraser University. Following this, I was eager to obtain my Master of Speech Pathology Studies and decided to do so in the beautiful country of Australia. I was lucky enough to spend 2.5 years studying at the University of Queensland and exploring the magnificent nature and culture.
As my studies came to an end, I decided that Australia would definitely be a vacation spot to visit the brilliant friends that were made, however it was time to be back with my family in BC and begin my career.
I am a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist, determined to support and help individuals and their families achieve communication goals as well as improve their quality of life. I have clinical experience in providing individualized communication assessment and management for adults and children in a wide range of settings including hospitals, schools, aged care facilities, and mental health clinics. I am registered with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHHPBC).
