Hi, I’m Keira. I have been working as an OT for 15 years, a career that has been so rewarding when seeing the positive impact on client’s lives. When I was a child, my younger brother was diagnosed with a severe developmental delay and sensory processing disorder. The OT who helped him was instrumental in assisting my brother achieve his goals and gain independence. I knew this was the career for me as I love helping others, knowing that there is always hope.

I completed my OT degree in Cape Town, South Africa in 2008. I initially worked in the public sector, servicing the local hospital and clinics. I later opened a private practice where I worked with a variety of clients across a broad range of ages and disorders. In 2021, I moved with my family to Langley, BC where I have been working as a Community Occupational Therapist. I am excited for this journey at Sunrise. I value continuous learning and keeping up to date with the latest research.

In my spare time I love spending time with my family outdoors (I have three amazing kiddos 😊). We love being in nature either hiking, camping, swimming or skiing. I love being creative and will always have some type of project on the side. I look forward to meeting you!
